Made it through the locks

Got to Waterford, NY this afternoon. This marks the end of the Eerie canal. Time to catch our breath and prep the mast so we can put her back up on Monday.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather as most of the time we were in shorts and t-shirts.

The highlight of today was descending “The flight of Five” — five locks joined together one after another. As you exit the canal is the free public dock of Waterford. We managed to pump out for $2 of quarters. Refilled our water tanks, so we are good for another week.

I think the crew has earned a double ration of rum tonight. 🙂
