We have left

What a day. All started really good getting minute stuff done: stowing things away, lifting and stowing dinghy, putting back in the second reef, and fill up water. That’s when things fell apart the through hull for the holding tank decided that it did not want to open. 3 hours later had to completely pull apart the holding tank. Such fun.

End result we only managed to leave at 3:30pm. We are motor sailing in 10 knots breeze about to hit open ocean. It’s a beautiful evening and whit has just fed is roasted chicken and potato salad.

All is good.

Hi Dave! I’m a friend of Al Velieri. I live right on Barnegat Bay, in New Jersey. Met Al after Sandy. We were looking at your website the other night and it’s awesome. So Interesting! Love the videos and pics, and will be sure to follow your progress. Stay safe, and keep posting! Pat

Saw that you are having mechanical problems and diverted to Bermuda. Hope it’s nothing too serious. Will you be able to make repairs and still make it to the Virgin Islands?
